About

I am a UKCP and BACP registered Gestalt Psychotherapist, Counsellor, and Clinical Supervisor. I currently run my private practice from Benington, just north of Hertford, near Stevenage.

Previously, I have worked for Metanoia Institute as a Primary Tutor in the Gestalt Department, as Service Manager for a local counselling service, and as Facilitator for St. Albans Death Cafe. I also volunteered for two years as a Counsellor for Her Majesty’s Prison Service, as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist for the NHS Psychological Therapy Services in Hatfield, and for Turning Point, counselling individuals struggling with substance abuse.

I am a Registered Member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and an Accredited and Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by both the UKCP’s Code of Ethics and Professional Practice and BACP’s Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. The UKCP and the BACP are professional bodies set up to promote and monitor best practice within counselling and psychotherapy practices, and to look after the people who use these services.

I am strongly committed to Continuing Professional Development and regularly attend conferences and training events. I am also fully DBS checked. This means I have undergone a criminal records check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (sponsored by the Home Office) and have been certified safe and reliable to work with people of all ages who may have safeguarding needs.
